The photograph showing the scene of an
accident at kara bus stop on the Lagos Ibadan expressway in ogun state
as published by The PUNCH of April 24 speaks volumes of some of our
security operatives. While some people were involved in an accident and
needed to be rescued, the two security agents at the scene were running
away with one jumping over the culvert while the other turned her back
at the victims and covered her noses. This is nothing but a gross
display of insensitivity and extreme callousness. Security agents are
supposed to protect the people in their hour of need and not to run away
from them as it is in most cases.
