ANOTHER RITUALISTS' DEN DISCOVERED IN LAGOS!

The Ogolonto area of Ikorodu in Lagos was yesterday in the spotlight as a ritualists’ den was discovered in a house which had about 8 victims kidnapped from different parts of the country rescued.

The den was discovered following a foiled attempt by a mother of 4 to kidnap a 7-year‑old boy, Emeka.

The woman identified as Mrs. Rosemary Chukwu, who resides at 33, Omologede Street, behind C&S Primary School, allegedly abducted the boy who was on his way to fetch water from a public well at about 6.30 a.m.

The young child was allegedly kept in her toilet while her 4 children were engaged in a prayer session to distract co-tenants from hearing his cry for help. Emeka’s delay got his mother apprehensive and this led to a search round the neighborhood for him.

Shortly after, Rosemary Chukwu is said to have been sighted with a box on her head which area boys ordered to be searched. She flung the box away and fled. When the box was opened, the young Emeka was found half-dead inside.

The area boys went after her, and stripped her naked. When interrogated, she alleged that her pastor, the General Overseer of Holy Family Ministry a.k.a House of Mercy, asked her to bring the boy.

It was from her statements they were led to 319, Lagos Road, Ikorodu, where the church is situated, and when the pastor sighted the crowd, he took to his heels.

If not for the intervention of the policemen, Rosemary Chukwu may have been lynched.

Just behind the church, a building located at 7 Oshodi Street is allegedly being used for ritual purposes by Pastor Ernest Nwankwo was discovered. Inside the den were bloodstains while there’s a room where chains were kept.
