Former FCT Minister and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mallam Nasir El-rufai is set to contest the gubernatorial seat of Kaduna State. According to top sources in the party, El-rufai is likely to emerge the party flagbearer in the 2015 gubernatorial contest.
Presently, APC in the state is believed to be polarised into three camps with the decampees from PDP holding the stronger faction of the party. It is believed that the state council elections favoured them and they are likely to continue to clinch the gubernatorial ticket depending on the candidate they feature.
