Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), former Head of State, stormed the Oluwo Kekere residence of the Arisekolas in Ibadan yesterday in company of Oba Otudeko and some northern dignitaries to pay condolence to the family.
The former president, who arrived around 10.54 a.m. and left the premises around 11.34 a.m. in a black S500 Mercedez Benz with registration number Lagos MUS 209 CM said: “On behalf of myself, family and this delegation, I convey our condolence to the Arisekola family.
I spoke with him two weeks before his demise and he promised to see me immediately he came back. I did not know Allah had another plan for him. He has left a big legacy for us to emulate. We would have asked for a long life for him, but Allah knows best.
If you ask for a long life for someone, it should not be how old, but long life is the good works an individual left behind and that was what Arisekola-Alao left behind. He will forever be remembered for his kind and philanthropic gesture; may Allah grant him aljanah fidaus.”
