Can you tell us how CLAM came about?
Before my commission into full time ministry, in 1996, I had several encounters with the Lord. In December, 1995, the agenda of the Ministry was entrusted to me and from that moment till now, I have never deviated nor faulted in carrying out my apostolic mandate as a deliverance ministry.
So, what is the mission and vision of CLAM?
CLAM is an Apostolic Ministry geared towards a global harvesting of souls. It has an evangelical orientation through an apostolic display of God’s power in drawing souls into the Kingdom of God and in the deliverance of people from the bondage of Satan. The CLAM Ministry started in 1998 as a prayer and deliverance ministry with a mission to build an apostolic revival ministry for the global harvest of souls.
Over the years, CLAM, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and my leadership has positively affected the lives of many people through our deliverance services, crusades, youth empowerment and welfare programmes. Today, the ministry has a board of trustees, a management team and 36 pastors and ministers under my leadership through our various programmes such as Solution Nights, Weekend Deliverance, etc.
You made mention of Youth Empowerment programmes, what does this entail?
Let me start by saying that humanitarian gestures, aside from our spiritual aspect of CLAM Global Outreach with the acronymic CLAMGO, and in which we reach out to various towns, countries, villages is also one of the major assignments God gave me. So, CLAMGO is involved in human and capacity development, welfare and health care delivery scheme to all of its host communities. This is aimed at delivering a wholelistic package to the human needs, that is the spiritual and physical nature of man. And CLAM Youth Empowerment falls under this.
We have over the years been involved in various ways in youth empowerment schemes and programmes through various training in SMEs and capacity development and empowerment for self sustainability. So, apart from the spiritual renewal of a total man which is key to healthy living and guarantees to eternity, we have continued to seek every veritable avenue in line with the agenda of the mandate of the ministry in the development of the human value and encouragement through adequate empowerment potential in them, thereby building a self-reliant and total human capacity for sustainable growth.
It is in line with this reality that CLAM is investing heavily in material and financial resources in harnessing Youth Empowerment. We try to show examples from the theory of maxim which states that Youths are the leaders of tomorrow, so if their today cannot guarantee their tomorrow then what happens?
In the same vein, we constantly find solutions in tackling some of the challenges facing youths today trough our empowerment campaigns like moral issues, peer pressure, lack of self-confidence, spiritual foundation issues, sexuality matters, etc. All of these anti-social menace and anti-faith matters are spiritually handled and wise counsels are professionally administered in order to set the client back on track with the right footing in life.
Aside from being a pastor, what else do you do?
Well, as CLAM continues to pride itself in destiny liberation and life transformation, being the hallmark of our calling, the area of human capacity development has received massive boost all along. Lately, the Ministry added into its human wellbeing development drives, this time around, we took further steps to add physical wellness development drives to complement its spiritual advocacy. health institution.
We have just established a world-class Health Institution, known as Soteria Hospital and Maternity Home. The Health Institution is an avenue to provide affordable and available 24/7 healthcare delivery system with standard and modern equipment.
Soteria Hospital and Maternity, when fully in operation will function at its best in surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, pediatrics, dentistry, family medicine, kidney transplant pharmacy, fully equipped laboratory and blood bank facilities are also part of the system. So, in keeing up with the day-to-day evolution and advancement in the medical development, we (Soteria) have put up structures that will enhance a career development of its team of medical practitioners on periodic basis so as to match up with the modern demand in their field of practice. We also have what we call Soteria Farms.
So, what is Soteria Farms all about?
Soteria Farms is an extensive and a mechanized agricultural scheme where there will be food sufficiency capable of feeding the nation and in surplus, enough for export purpose to the rest of African countries and other parts of the world.
The gesture was informed by the high fertility of lands in Nigeria which are good enough for commercial or subsistence farming going by the World Bank report in 2009.
What other purpose do you intend to achieve by venturing into farming?
As I said earlier, in a passionate drive by the CLAM to assume its Corporate Social Responsibility to the national development, Soteria Farms, a farm settlement located at CLAM Estate, across 6 villages at Ogunmakin axis of Ogun State, South-West Nigeria was acquired and cultivated.
The farm settlement occupies 500 hectares of virgin land. When fully put into use, cassava, tomatoes, pepper, yams, vegetable leaves, plantain, etc, will all be planted there. And when fully cultivated, the crop yielding mechanism will be an all-year-round cross planting. But this will be possible through the aid of modern farming technology and implements administered by world-class professionals in the field of agro-allied matters. The scheme will also provide job opportunities to the teeming populace, especially specialists and professionals in agriculture-related fields.
There is this news that you donated a Maternity Home and Children’s Ward to your home town, Ile-Oluji in Ondo State, how true is this?
You have said it all. My wife, Pastor (Mrs) Bukola Oladiyun and I built and donated a Maternity Home and Children’s Ward to our people at Ile Oluji in Ondo State. This is a fulfilled dream. We had to bring in medical experts from within Nigeria and abroad to treat the villagers of all their ailments, including carrying out surgical operation on those who required surgery.
We also have 37 people on scholarship financed by us under the Pastor Wole Foundation (PAWOF). So far, to the glory of God Almighty and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, CLAM in general, is living up to billing.
