Former Oyo State Governor, National Leader of Accord Party, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has said he has not endorsed any aspirant under the platform of the party to contest 2015 governorship ticket. Ladoja made this disclosure on Monday while fielding questions from journalists after observing the Eid-prayer at the University of Ibadan (UI) Central Mosque in Ibadan. According to him, he will pick expression of interest form with a view to contesting 2015 gubernatorial election in the state while he urged Accord Party members in the Oyo State House of Assembly to distance themselves from any attempt at the purported plan to impeach Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
In his words, “I can only endorse myself. I intend to pick the expression of interest form to contest 2015 governorship election, but this will be based on if my party wishes that I should contest the election.” On the alleged plan to impeach Ajimobi, Ladoja added that, “I cannot understand the basis of anybody in the State House of Assembly suddenly waking up to nurse any impeachment ambition against Governor Ajimobi. In any case Accord is not a party to it”.
