The World Beauty Pageant Organization, which has its headquarters in Panama in the United States of America,is set to begin the search for Miss Intercontinental Nigeria this year. According to the African Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Prince Donatus Okokwo, he disclosed that this is the first time Africa will be allowed to have an African CEO which will coordinate other African countries to bring forth beauty queens.
He said further that the event promotes social and cultural heritage all over the countries of the world as 70 hopeful winners of this pageant will have opportunity to compete with each other. In his words, “Many people know Bianca Ojukwu as a Beauty Queen but they can not remember the pageants she won. She won Miss intercontinental World in 1989. World Beauty Pageant is about charity and therefore any participant in this pageant will surely go home with something”.
Multiple award-winning actress, Susan Peters who is the Consultant of World Beauty Organization, and Ndam Grace Sumukoan, 2011 Miss ECOWAS revealed that any contestant must be between 18-27 years and must be articulate and good-looking. The contestant must not have given birth before. On the huge gift which awaits anybody who participates in the contest, Susan said every contestant will surely go home with a big gift while winner of the Miss Intercontinental Nigeria crown will go home with a brand new car and the total sum of 2.5million naira; 1st runner-up will smile home with 1.5 million naira while the 2nd runner-up will get 1 million naira cash.
She also explained further that the forms can be obtained at any Fidelity Bank in Nigeria while there will be three regional audition centers. The Owerri audition will take place at All Seasons Hotel between 24th – 25th July 2014; Abuja is 1st – 2nd of August 2014 at House of Cubana while Lagos audition holds from 8th – 9th August in Tetrazini House on Victoria Island.
