PATERNITY MESS: NNPC TOPSHOT, OBIEKWU OKORO SUES WIFE FOR DIVORCE!

NNPC topshot, Obiekwu Okoro had remarried in 2003 after his first wife got separated from him some years back and moved on. As stated in his affidavit to an Abuja customary court where he had filed for divorce, Okoro claimed that he married Vivian in 2003 and the marriage was consummated under the traditional laws of the land and that the two of them lived happily until sometimes early this year when he noticed that a certain Matthew who Vivian had introduced as her uncle was frantically calling his wife at odd hours and making threats.

According to his affidavit, he took the issue up with his wife who lied to him that she had some problems with her uncle over some money the uncle needed which she could not provide. Obiekwu further stated that it was not the first time that he was intervening and helping her to meet the needs of Matthew but this time he decided to invite Matthew himself and asked what he had done with the financial helps he had offered before. He also stated in the affidavit how Matthew had rebuffed the invitation but call him unprintable names and challenged him, Obiekwu to confront his wife if he believes that the money he was demanding was too much for services rendered.

There and then Obiekwu claimed he began his investigations from his in-laws only to discover that Matthew was not a member of their family but a former lover to Vivian. The discovery prompted Obiekwu to conduct paternity test on his kids and he found that his first two children were indeed not his. One of the pleas he is seeking before the court is to ascertain the paternity of the first two kids aged 9 and 7. He is also seeking the dissolution of the marriage on accounts of infidelity and the fact that the marriage has broken down irretrievably. It was gathered that when the case came up in court, the defendant or her representative was not in court forcing the trial judge to adjourn the case till 8th of September 2014.
