The husband and children
of the Nigerian nurse who died after getting infected with the Ebola virus are
on the run.
If you recall, she is
the first Nigerian to die from the virus after contacting it from Liberian, Patrick
Sawyer.
Meanwhile, the
Minister of Health said 139 people are under surveillance with 9 confirmed
cases. “The total number of cases, as of this morning, (Friday) stands at nine
out of which eight are Nigerians and one American-Liberian.Out of the nine
confirmed cases, seven are alive and are receiving treatment In Lagos. “I am
saying this to enlighten people that having Ebola does not mean you have been condemned
to death, survivors have been recorded.”
President Jonathan has
declared Ebola a national emergency with N1.6billion awarded to fight and
contain the epidemic.
