SADE OKOYA: “I’M A HUMBLE WIFE WHO ENJOYS HER HUSBAND’S COMPANY” + UNVEILS 1ST DAUGHTER!

Chief (Mrs.) Sade Okoya is the gorgeous wife of billionaire industrialist Alhaji Rasaq Okoya. On Sunday, 23rd of August 2014, she was one of those who received honorary doctorate degree from the European American University Commonwealth of Dominica, African Regional Operations. Sade, who looked stylish in a fitted pant and black shirt which she matched with diamond accessories, walked into the hall at 10.05am with a beauty young lady in her teens who is her carbon copy. She was ushered into the hall with prominent Lagos society women and top customers of Eleganza Group who have been their clients for years. The young girl sat quietly at the back of Sade Okoya and people began to wonder if she’s her immediate younger sister but City People can authoritatively tell you she is her daughter. Last week, in this excerpted interview, which the full copy, is in the latest City People Magazine, Sade Okoya tells City People Magazine about life as a working mother and wife.

Going by investigation, you are an early caller at the office and you close late at night, how did this part of you evolve?
You have to live by example. It has to do with passion. If you like what you are doing, you won’t be tired at any point in time. Even my kids, when they come around, I make sure they do something. They know there is no room for laziness. I put them through on what to do.

Many people don’t know who you are asides being the wife of  Alhaji Rasak Okoya. What’s it like being his wife?
(Smiles) Who am I? My name is Sade Okoya. What are the things people don’t know about me? Well, I am an introvert but people think I am an extrovert. I am a humble wife who enjoys the company of her husband. I have to come to parties with my husband as we have a large family.

Do you still cook for your husband?
Yes of course, and that is every day. I must enter kitchen every day. I make sure he is well taken care of. My husband likes varieties so I don’t just cook 1 food. He takes them in bits. This is one of the reasons you will never see me with artificial nails. I have never done that. Like the day you saw me at Sam Amuka’s son’s wedding, I just came back from site and had to come for an event with my husband.

You recently renewed your vows…….
(cuts in) To set the record straight, we never had any renewal of vows. I was amazed when close friends of ours started calling saying we had a party and never invited them.  That picture they used was our Nikkai pictures of over many years.

What is your favorite colour and the secret of your beauty?
I love colours and my colour is yellow. For my beauty, I am naturally blessed with a nice skin and I have never used anything to alter it. I will say it’s God.

Speak on your style?
I wear what the occasion permits. Let me also add that I tie my gele myself and also do my make-up myself.

What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are reading, cooking, travelling and gardening. I love and appreciate nature.

Who are your friends?
I don’t have friends but I have people I admire. People say Mrs. Oguntade is my friend, she is not my friend, she is more than a friend to me. She is my mother. So I don’t call her my friend.
