FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WITHDRAWS AMINU TAMBUWAL’S SECURITY DETAILS

The defection of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal from PDP to APC has caused more tension in the political circles. If going by reports, all the security details attached to the Speaker have been withdrawn by the Federal Government. As the number 4 citizen in Nigeria, the Speaker is entitled to a 24-hour security detail made up of men from the Police, Civil Defence Corps and the Department of State Security (DSS). This fresh move may not be unconnected with his defection from the PDP which didn’t go down well with the party and the presidency. Recall the National Publicity Secretary of PDP had on Tuesday called on Tambuwal to resign his position as Speaker having left the party that brought him to the House of Representatives in 2011.
