VACANCY FOR POSITION OF A MANAGER AT MAXWELL STAMP PLC

TEAM LEADER/MANAGER

Maxwell Stamp PLC is looking for an experienced Team Leader / Chief of Party to lead the second phase of the DFID Nigeria Policy Development Facility (PDF2). The PDF aims to assist the Nigerian government in the implementation of economic and social policies that lead to poverty reduction by:

Backing key economic and public sector reformers in Nigeria with technical support
Conducting research and studies that can be used to influence and shape Nigeria’s economic reform agenda
Initiating explorative studies for potential complimentary DFID studies.
The majority of PDF activities will be short- to medium-term technical assistance initiatives focusing on policy research and embedding advisers to support key government partners. PDF 2 will be expected to source high quality, spe...t expertise rapidly in order to take advantage of windows of opportunities to influence policymaking decisions.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead a small core team to undertake the following core activities:

Management and coordination of Technical Assistance initiatives
Contract administration
Quality assurance and advisory inputs
Reporting, monitoring and evaluation.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Interested individuals must have the following:

At least 12 years of relevant professional experience with proven project/programme management skills (previous Team Leader / Chief of Party experience essential)

Excellent understanding of the Nigerian policy environment and regional economic issues

Experience in carrying out social and economic/financial development TA projects in Nigeria and/or West Africa

Ability to communicate clearly in English with strong policy communication and advocacy (including research dissemination, influencing strategies etc.)  skills

Strong procurement, contract administration, financial administration and accounting skills

A good understanding of monitoring and evaluation

A good understanding of political economy analysis.
