1 Week After Defection, Aminu Tambuwal Drives Himself To National Assembly

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, yesterday, stunned many, as he drove himself to and out of the National Assembly, without his usual security aides. This was the first time Tambuwal was appearing in the National Assembly for official functions since he defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) last week. He was accompanied to the National Assembly by some of his colleagues and aides, smiling and waving. Tambuwal drove in a black Range Rover to the complex, where he declared open the public hearing jointly organised by the House Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) and Justice on a bill for an Act to repeal the Audit Act of 1956 and re-enact the Audit Act of 2014.
