Following an obsolete 8-year-old rehashed report that went viral alleging that 2 of Femi Kuti’s children reportedly failed a ‘recent’ DNA test, the Afrobeats maestro has dismissed this allegation as untrue, while he also disclosed that his management will take the issue up from the original source. In a series of tweets, Femi Kuti said: “I live with my children and those that know me know how much I love them.It’s someone trying to be mischievous cause they know the love I have for my children and r trying hurt me.”
Responding to a blogger whose blog also syndicated the news, Femi added that, “She put children that r my biological in pretext of the story, that’s 8yrs old & I didn’t talk abt.The pics put up r pics of my biological children to pretend d story happened like yesterday.” In direct tweets at the blogger, he said, “The pictures u put on your blog are pictures of my children, taken very recently. And the story is 8years old.I will appreciate if u take down the pictures u put of my children on your blog. This is very wrong. To pretend the story is recent and use picture of my biological children to lie is totally unacceptable o. Pls take my kids off.” In all, the Afrobeats maestro said, ” I don’t need that kind of news to make me famous. My music does enough for me and I’m content.I didn’t grant an interview. My management is taking the matter up .”
