Kaduna State is blessed with women who are doing very well in all spheres of life, be it business, politics or education. As the political atmosphere in the country hots up, more women in the state have indicated their interest to join the political race. To encourage them, Hajiya Amina Ramallan Yero, wife of the state governor had a meeting with these female politicians emphasizing the need for them to work together. Asabe Ndoma brings you a list of some of the female political office seekers.

MARIA DOGO
Maria is one of the seasoned female politicians in the state from Chukun Local Government. She was once a member of the State House of Assembly, where she performed credibly well. She also served as Commissioner for Women Affairs under the late Governor Yakowa. Right now, she wants to represent her people at the House of Representative.
TALATU SHEHU ABDULLAHI
Talatu is a quiet achiever who has made a mark in business and now politics. She is seeking to represent the people of Kaduna Central at the Senate. “We gathered that women have been mobilizing seriously in order to make her win. ”We want a female Politician who knows our pain to represent us”, a source told City People. Right now, we hear she has been holding series of meetings all in a bid to achieve her ambition.
NENADI USMAN
Call her the strong woman of Kaduna politics and you won’t be wrong, as Nenadi has risen steadily from Special Assistant in Kaduna State to Minister and now representing Kaduna South Senatorial Zone in the Senate. Nenadi has made her intentions known to continue a second term at the upper legislative chamber. She has also been able to empower her people positively.
MUNIRA TANIMU SULIEMAN
Although she is a new entrance into politics, sources say this articulate and purposeful lady is one to watch. 30-year old Munira is seeking to represent Lere East at the State House of Assembly on the PDP platform. She has been mobilizing people and resources to make her dream come true. She was married to the son of Aisha Ismail a former Minister of Women Affairs from Kano State.
RUTH ANGO
The pretty and dynamic woman was once a member of the House of Representatives from Southern Kaduna. We hear she wants to go back to the House to continue with the good work she had started.
DEBORAH ILIYA
She is one of the few women in the APC vying for a political office. She wants to represent her people at the Senate. According to her, they need effective representation. This hard working woman has been campaigning to make sure she wins, although this is not her first attempt at contesting.
COMFORT AMWE
This grass-roots politician was once a Local Government Chairman and recently resigned as the States Commissioner for Women Affairs to contest the State House of Assembly representing Sanga in Kaduna South. This petite woman is hardworking and down-to-earth.
