MOHAMMED BABANGIDA FORGOES GOVERNORSHIP DREAM

In what appears to be a tactical manoeuvre, Mohammed Babangida the scion of the failing former military president, Ibrahim Babangida has abandoned his ambition to rule Niger state. City People gathered that Mohammed did not collect the expression of interest or nomination form as at close of nominations a few days ago.  He was said to have been busy with his recuperating father who was still abroad as at the time of filing this report. City People reliably gathered that his absence seemed to have fueled speculations that Abuja might have decided that he should forgo the dream fro now while he would be compensated later as he is now seen as playing more roles in the party at the centre. Our sources also gathered that a son to former military top shot, Gado Nasco who had served the present governor in various capacities as a commissioner might have been the new consensus candidate picked to emerge from the PDP primaries in the state. We shall keep you posted.
