MUSILIU OBANIKORO: “I NEVER ACCUSED BODE GEORGE OF INTERFERENCE IN LAGOS PDP WARD CONGRESSES”

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, a former Minister of Defence, has dismissed claims by a group called Lagos Integrity Watch, accusing him of attacking the former deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, for being partisanship in the recently concluded party’s ward congresses in the state. Obanikoro’s reaction was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media Strategy, Ohimai Amaize.

According to the statement, “At no time did Senator Obanikoro engage or accuse Chief Bode George of partisanship or interference in the Lagos PDP ward congresses. Social media comments or opinions by individuals speaking for themselves do not in anyway represent the personal views of Obanikoro. We are well aware that this is a critical time in the history of Lagos PDP and hired agents of propaganda will want to seize the opportunity to wreak havoc. Senator Obanoko acknowledges the great role that Chief Bode Gorge is playing to foster unity, equity and fair play as the father of PDP in Lagos State.”
