The immediate past Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has taken on the incumbent, Mr. Ayo Fayose over the finances of the state and unpaid workers’ salary. In a series of tweets themed ‘EkitiFacts’, Fayemi tweeted this afternoon, ” Facts To Know About Ekiti as explained by Dr @kfayemi On Adaba FM 88.9 On 26th Dec. 2014. Owed 1 month salary which was September 2014, and its allocation was not paid by Abuja, until the inauguration of @GovAyoFayose.Deduction per month on Ekiti Bond is N498 Million as against N1 Billion claimed by Governor Fayose.aged Social Securities, Street Sweepers, Peace Corps etc, which are no more paid.”
He added, “JKF Government at the 3 weeks in office approved COHENSS and other health sectors salaries.Fayose’s administration was given September 2014 allocation at his resumption in October,2014 and supposed to pay for the month.Nobody left N10.4 Billion in 2006, it is commonsensical to prove such statement, @GovAyoFayose only left N3.5 Billion.Cars bought for Kabiyesis and Civil Servants from Coscharis have been fully paid except the little outstanding from the cars bought for top Civil Servants. The statement credited to @GovAyoFayose on the non-completion of Ayoba Hill Govt House is a total false.Oke Ayoba Govt Lodge is not only practically completed but well furnished and accommodated before my leaving. All the Permanent Secretaries, even the Head of Service under JKF were based on competency tests.”
“No vendetta throughout the JKF administration in the selection/appointment of any public officers.Separation of power is between the House of Assembly, Judiciary and Executive in JKF administration.JKF advised Mr. Fayose to dedicate his time to studying the 500 pages handover note … for the clarification of any ambiguity in governance. Let Fayose probe my government if he thinks I had defraud Ekiti state instead of castigating all the good legacy my government has giving to Ekiti people. Fayemi’s response online is coming 2 days after Fayose’s monthly media chat, “Meet Your Governor” where he slammed Fayemi over the finances of the state and unpaid workers’ salary.
