FINALLY! FINALLY!! FINALLY!!! GEN. MUHAMMODU BUHARI EMERGES APC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE FOR 2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS

After a long day at the (All Progressives Congress) APC's 3rd National Convention in Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, which lasted for two days (Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11, December, 2014), with 8,000 delegates from the 36 states of the federation including FCT, Abuja, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has finally and officially been declared as the party's presidential candidate to contest the February 2015 presidential election with his PDP counterpart, President Goodluck Jonathan.

Buhari emerged the APC presidential flag-bearer after defeating four other contestants in a land slide victory that earned him 3,430 votes out of the 7,214 valid votes cast by the delegates. Far distance second to him is the incumbent Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso who got 974 votes. Other participants in the APC presidential primary election are; the former vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who came third with 954 votes; the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha who is also a challenger in the contest came fourth as he got 624 votes from the delegates while the Publisher of Leadership Newspapers, Sam Nda-Isaiah got 10 votes in the fifth position.
