Senator Abiola Ajimobi wins Oyo APC guber primaries
The incumbent Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has won his re-election bid as he clinched his party, APC’s guber ticket tonight. Ajimobi won with 4662 votes, defeating his opponent, Dr. Ayobami Adesina, son of former governor of the state, Alhaji Lam Adesina, who polled 22 votes. The third aspirant, Mr. Adebayo Shittu, who is a former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General in the state, who petitioned the five-man electoral committee that conducted the primaries declined to participate in the exercise.
