With all the flagrant corruption indiscipline and loss of lives and property, did I say “LOSS OF LIVES”, Nigeria definitely needs a war tested disciplinarian who will sweep the house clean. The General fits that role. BUT the General is surrounded by convicted criminals and est while disgruntled wolves defecting from the other camp. What’s more , he is 72 and rumored to be in poor health. What is his anti corruption agenda on those convicts in his cabinet if truly he intends to sweep the house clean, I mean charity must begin at home? What if we have a repeat version of the Yaradua situation, the nation will be left in the hands of who? The man of God surrounded by who? The gospel of turning the other cheek will not work anymore in Nigeria, the country must be seized from hooligans by power and by force.
Flip that script. President Good luck Jonathan has built schools and roads very much like the uncommon transformation in AKS, but if a government cannot guarantee its people SECURITY OF LIVES it is not even prepared to begin. It seems the President simply does not know what to do about Boko Haram and that is a crying shame. Nigeria is not a poor nation. Wise management of the petrodollar can make for fantastic changes . Consider the health care sector. It is unconscionable that young people , Nigeria’s tomorrow are dying of (it hurts me to say) High blood pressure , embolisms, complications of diabetes, simple trauma, need of dialysis etc….Meanwhile private jets are landing in South Africa filled with millions of dollars and pounds in Mr President’s tenure, Chaiii.
This flagrant waste of resources has been on going for years yet we have a problem giving someone else the opportunity to AT LEAST STEM THE CARNAGE of Boko HARAM. For me there is no better of the two because OUR FATHERS AT THE HELM OF AFFAIRS HAVE SORELY LET THE NATION DOWN. However I am glad that this process has stirred the souls and faculties of many Nigerians into giving thought to the political process of their Governance. I expect to see intelligent and visionary contestants with the next Presidential elections. I kind of don’t give a hoot who gets to the wheel at this point but LET THE NEXT DISPENSATION START NOW!! Let the young people begin now to decide what they want for their country and how they can reposition the system to yield those results.
Can NIDO ( Nigerians in Diaspora) work to include foreign based Nigerians in the voting process? How can we open up the country to compete on an even keel with the international community in terms of quality of labor, income earned, quality of services, pension structure, housing, How can our graduates degrees hold equal or better value as their international counterparts. How could we over haul the police force, provide quality training and better wages, how can we re train our army so they don’t run away from the child soldiers of Boko Haram or try to fight bullets with Karate moves? We need an appraisal committee that will appraise the work of each government agency and see how it is really serving the people, we need accountability on how funds were disbursed . How much money should Mr. President and Senators and Governors earn as take home pay?
We need a review. What percentage of the church’s 10 percent levy on members should be put into community service and charity? After all said and done all politicians and senators who served in this dispensation of flagrant corruption murder and brigandry should give account in something like “The truth commission” pay back what was stolen from the country or face jail time . Think on these things. From tackling corruption to spending Nigeria’s resources to reformatting our various parastatals.. If you are between the ages of 30 years old and 60 you have a major role to play in salvaging the nation. “The labor of our heroes past shall never be in vain” Please let me hear from you on what role you think you could play in service to Nigeria.
