President Goodluck Jonathan has forwarded 8 ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening and approval. The names contained in a letter signed by Jonathan and read by Senate President David Mark, include; 

1. Senator Musiliu Obanikoro (Lagos), 
2. Mrs.Patricia Akwashiki (Nasarawa); 
3. Mrs. Hauwa’u Lawan (Jigawa); 
4. Prof Nicholas Akise Ada (Benue); 
5. Col. Augustine Akobundu retd. (Abia); 
6. Mr. Fidelis Nwankwo (Ebonyi); 
7. Mr. Kenneth Kobani (Rivers) and 
8. Senator Joel Ikenya (Taraba).
