#Nigeria: Embattled Church Leader Removed As Trustee For Alleged Forgery Of Certificate

The leadership crisis rocking the Assemblies of God has taken a new turn with the General Council removing embattled general superintendent Revd. Prof. Paul Emeka as a trustee of the church on the grounds of alleged “forgery of professorial certificate and use of the forged/fake purporting professorial certificate/document as genuine”. In a public notice signed by the church’s lawyer, Barrister Ifeanyichukwu Obasi-Nweze, it states that 2 new trustees have been included in the General Council in the person of Rev. Pastor Ejim, and Rev. Amaowoh. Also published in the notice is a letter from the University of Derby where Rev. Prof. Paul Emeka is said to have acquired the professorial certificate. According to the institution, Rev. Prof. Paul Emeka wasn’t issued a certificate from the school nor did he attend or have a relationship with the university in any capacity.
