Add another awkward moment to the tense relationship between President Goodluck Jonathan and former president Olusegun Obasanjo. This one is coming after Obasanjo tore his expired PDP membership card last week.

All Nigeria’s former presidents and heads of state were in Sokoto yesterday for the 90th birthday ceremony of Alhaji Shehu Shagari, the Turakin Sakkwato who served as the President of Nigeria’s Second Republic after the handover of power by General Olusegun Obasanjo’s military government.

was a 2-in-1 celebration with a reception and birthday prayer. At the reception which had 5 former Nigeria leaders and President Jonathan in attendance, Obasanjo shunned the cake-cutting/photo session.

The Ebora of Owuland was however spotted at the birthday prayer session embracing House of Reps. speaker Hon. Aminu Tambuwal.
