For about 30 minutes today on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, a team of policemen and a gang of armed robbers exchanged gunshots. The robbers robbed a bank at Lekki Phase 1 in Lagos, and attempted to escape through the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge when they encountered policemen. While the shooting lasted, motorists fled for their lives, and abandoned their vehicles. The robbers reportedly jumped into a speed boat and escaped through the water.
