Revealed: The Main Reason Why Keshi Rejected Fresh Super Eagles Contract….Coach Finally Dumps Nigeria

Africa Cup of Nations-winning coach Stephen Keshi has finally dumped Nigeria, News Express can authoritatively reveal this evening.

Keshi, who led Nigeria’s Super Eagles to win the 2014 AFCON in South Africa, was sent contract renewal papers yesterday by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), which said he was expected to resume work tomorrow, March 1. He however dismissed it as “a slave contract”.

“NFF wants Keshi to sign the slave contract without input,” his agent Emmanuel Ado told News Express this evening.

“No, he won’t. It will be a waste of time talking. He had long moved on,” Ado added.

The contract, a copy of which is in the possession of News Express, effectively shackles the 52-year-old gaffer, as it comes with a Code of Conduct and binds him to answer to several persons and committees.

Keshi is supposed to be paid five N5 million monthly as part of the a two-year contract – the same amount he received during his initial three-year contract, which ran out after last year’s World Cup in Brazil for which he failed qualified Nigeria before falling out of favour by failing to qualify for the 2015 AFCON hosted by Equatorial Guinea.
