Scientists are developing wine that doesn’t give you a hangover.
Researchers at the University of Illinois in the midwestern United States are working on producing a version of the drink which contains no alcohol by creating a new type of yeast, the Daily Star newspaper reports.
By making specific strains of saccharomyces cerevisiae – which is common in beer, wine and bread making – they will be able to change the make up of the product to contain reduced levels of the component which causes hangovers.
