OMG!!! Airport cleaner, Josephine Ugwu debunks N12 million gift from Bishop Mike Okonkwo: See what actually happened at TREM's auditorium

JOSEPHINE Ugwu, the airport cleaner who returned N12 million a couple of weeks back has denied receiving N12 million from Bishop Mike Okonkwo-led The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM).

Speaking in an exclusive chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Monday, April 6, 2015, she denied the report but confirmed going to TREM for the Sunday service.

“I was at TREM for the Easter service but it is not true they gave me N12 million.  I got a call from TREM asking me to come for their service.  It is a lie that I was given N12 million.  I did not even see the report.”

We further probed to find out if she was given anything, be it material or monetary at TREM.  “Prayer matters most.  That is the most important thing to me.  Any other thing might follow.  That prayer is the most important.”

The social media was agog a couple of days back that the woman, who had returned huge amount of money thrice as an airport cleaner, was worshipping at TREM.  It was further alleged that she got a monetary gift of N12 million representing what she returned to the owner.  However, when ENCOMIUM Weekly called her, she said there was no iota of truth in the story.  She added she was prayed for, that she cherishes the prayer of the church than any rumour spreading about her.

Josephine Ugwu, an airport cleaner who works with Patoville, a company in charge of cleaning and maintaining some airport facilities, found all of N12 million in the course of her duty a couple of weeks back.

She returned the bag she found the money in while cleaning to the necessary authority.  It was discovered the bag contained assorted currencies.  She got N5,000 from the owner of the money as reward for honesty.  Conflicting reports have been flying around about the amount she has gotten so far, this Ms. Ugwu has tried to clarify.
