U-20 World Cup: Iheanacho Returns To Flying Eagles

Kelechi Iheanacho of Manchester City, and Musa Yahaya of Tottenham Hotspurs will both be handed recalls by Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba, as he announces his provisional World Cup roster on Tuesday.

Chidiebere Nwakali, who played alongside the duo during the 2013 FIFA Under 17 tournament in UAE, will also be called up for a training camp ahead of the tournament in New Zealand.

All three were absent for the trip to Senegal where Nigeria recorded the seventh triumph at the tournament, but while Iheanacho and Yahaya missed out on account of injury, Nwakali was unavailable because he was finalizing his loan move to Malaga.

Garba has kept faith with all the players that made the African Youth Championship squad list, including Porto youngster Chidera Ezeh, who is battling to overcome a hamstring injury.

In the goalkeeping department, Flash FC goal tender, Adamu Abubakar, also earned a berth on the 35-man provisional roster.

Another returnee to the team will be Granada starlet, Isaac Success, who missed the AYC because his club failed to release him, but coach Manu Garba will be relying on him even beyond the training camp, having included the 19-year-old on the list.

The Nigeria Football Federation submitted the preliminary list to FIFA before the 1 April, 2015 deadline .The Flying Eagles are in group E of the U-20 World Cup, alongside Brazil, Hungary, and North Korea.
