If you could recall a while back, billionaire ex-banker, Mr. Jim Ovia announced plans to bring the prestigious Marriott Hotels brand to Nigeria following the multi-billion naira agreement signed by Quantum Luxury Properties Limited (Quantum Capital) which he chairs and Marriott Hotels.
And if all goes well, the Marriott Lagos Waterfront will soon become the latest addition to Lagos’ Hotel Row on Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island. This will be the first Marriott-branded hotel in Nigeria, and one of the first in sub-Saharan Africa. The hotel is sited on a 5,300sqm waterfront site, overlooking the Lagos Lagoon, and next to the Civic Centre.
