“I am not angry with anybody over my incarceration” – Ex-Jigawa governor Sule Lamido

The immediate past Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has said he bears no grudge against anybody for his incarceration for 5 days over an alleged N1.3 billion financial scam levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).Lamido, however, disclosed that he was overwhelmed with joy for being granted bail on self recognition.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday, after arriving Kano from Abuja, Lamido said that “Every human being has his or her own shortcomings, but this is an experience, in which you cannot share your anger with another person. This is not the first time that I would be persecuted, and imprisoned, as more ex-governors that have served their states should expect to pass through this travails, because they can be framed up. I am a human being, I have my own shortcomings. What I am saying is that if you want to serve your own people, or you want to serve your own country, you might face some consequences.”
