The Iyaloja-General of Ijebuland, Alhaja Sadia Elewuju on Wednesday, 8th July 2015, was shot dead by unknown assailants who besieged her home in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state. The 82-year-old Elewuju matriarch was macheted by the assailants who cut her recklessly. She is said to have died on her way to the hospital. Her death has thrown the entire state into mourning.
