The death has been announced of Mr. Tunji Dokunmu. For many years ago, not much was heard about the ace banker till music maestro Ebenezer Obey praise-sang him to the heavens in various songs.For this reason, he made the list of high-profile events and no social scene was complete without him because he was a heavy spender and a philanthropist. Suddenly a few years ago he was off the social scene and this was said to have been as a result of an ailment.
A few weeks ago, on 12th June 2015, Tunji’s father, the Balogun of Ake, Chief Muraino Akanni Dokunmu (MADOKS) was buried in grand style with Ebenezer Obey on the bandstand. Less than 6 weeks after burying his father and celebrating his 54th birthday, Tunji died on Monday, 20th July 2015. Tunji Dokunmu, a senior banker in his lifetime, has since been buried at the Victoria Garden Cemetery, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.
