The 80th birthday of Chief Alex Duduyemi, the Aro of the Source, which kicked off a few days ago with a book launch was set to hold in Osun State but this has been shifted to Lagos because of the passage of Ooni of Ife. According to top family members of the billionaire,the mega 80th birthday is set to hold today at the KFA event centre located at the 4th round-about in Lekki-Epe expressway.
The change in venue is due to the relationship that existed between the respected Ile-Ife monarch, Oba Okunade Sijuwade and the celebrant. Aside the fact that they are cousins, they have been friends for over many decades despite the 5-year age difference. Infact, those who know revealed to this magazine that the Ooni of Ife was meant to be one of the royal fathers of the day. Another reason given for the change in venue is that no social event will take place in Ile-Ife for now until the Ooni of Ife is finally laid rest.
