Mavin Records is a top Nigerian-based record label founded by recording artist and record producer Michael Collins Ajereh a.k.a Don Jazzy. The label’s inception came to fulfilment following the closure of Mo’ Hits Records, a record label owned by Don Jazzy and D’banj. Mavin Records is home to recording artists such as Tiwa Savage, Dr SID, D’ Prince and has recently signed on 3 new artistes, Di’ja, Reekado, and Korede Bello.The label also houses a roster of producers such as Jazzy himself, Altims, and Baby Fresh. In this  write-up we  hereby unveil  Mavin Records 3 new artistes, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and Di’Ja.

REEKADO BANKS

He is called Reekado Banks and he is everything you can ask for. Born Solomon Ayoleyi Hanniel, Reekado Banks is a gifted singer and song writer. The final year History and Strategic student of the University of Lagos Akoka,is young, God fearing,fun and spontaneous. Best described as a fine combination of talent, determination and swag, Reekado Banks is set to make history. His first official single under Mavin; “Turn It Up” which features Mavin’s first lady “Tiwa Savage” is a melodious entreaty that screams get up and dance. Definitely a party anthem that is sure to make it to the top of DJs’ playlist.

KOREDE BELLO

Young sensational singer and song writer, guitarist and composer, Korede Bello hails from Lagos State, the entertainment hub of Nigeria. He started performing on stage at the age of 7 and is currently signed to Mavin Records. The teenage Mass Communication student is out with his first single under the ace record label (Mavin) titled “African Princess” which has been the favorite  of both old and young since it was premiered.

DI’JA

Hadiza Blell simply known as DI’JA, is a Sierra Leonean-Nigerian recording artiste and song writer. She grew up in Sierra Leone, Nigeria, USA and Canada. Raised in a family where great emphasis was placed on the value for formal education, Di’ja committed herself to the academics and earned two university degrees at a very young age. However, young Di’ja’s passions soon extended beyond the classroom walls towards the colourful world of music,art and philanthropy. In 2008, her musical artistry was recognised by the academy of the Beat Music Awards, Canada, when she was presented the award for the Best New Artiste of 2008. In the following year,one of her songs were nominated for the “Best Urban/RnB Single” award at the 2008 Canadian Radio Music Award. While she continued recording in Canada, Di’Ja started dabbling with fashion product design,by combining her passion for the visual art with her love for modelling. In 2013, she returned to Nigeria and soon signed a record deal with super producer Don Jazzy, as a recording artiste under Mavin Records. Di’Ja’s signing was announced to the public on February 14, 2014 alongside the release of her first official single; Yaro. When Di’Ja is not recording music, creating art sketches or designing clothes, she is usually involved with different humanitarian projects for charity. Two of her core focus are children and water.
