The two, however, were cynosure of all eyes when Jennifer opened another extension of the luxury brand, Polo Avenue in February 2014. The development fueled new speculation that the two are waxing stronger in love.
An publishing media outfit, because of the speculation, sent interview questions to Jennifer bordering on the new establishment and the truth about her relationship with D’Banj. She wouldn’t reply their mail.
However, on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the wedding of Mr. Segun Ajanlekoko’s daughter, Oluwatobiloba and her heartthrob, Kolawole Osipitan, the press confronted her on her relationship with D’Banj and she obliged to set the record straight.
“For the record, I am no longer dating D’Banj. It’s true we dated about four years ago and we have since called it quit.”
She was asked to give reason for the breakup. She answered thus, “I left him (D’Banj) because he is a womanizer, you know now.”
For some time, speculations were rife about the romance between the two.
There was a time it was reported that the two had gone their separate ways before the February 2014 opening of Polo Avenue.
