The remains of late singer Kefee were interred yesterday in her hometown in Okpara, Delta State. Her corpse arrived Okpara in a white casket which was surrounded by 6 pall-bearers who carrried the body around as her family, friends and well-wishers were in tears.
The funeral rites kicked off a few days ago with a candlelight procession in her honour of at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre, Benin City, Edo State, as her colleagues, all dressed in black, listened to sermons, songs and speeches rendered in honour of the late vocalist. Gospel artistes who performed were Maleke, Benjamin Okorodion, Ifeoma Ikusemoro, Godfather and Asemota. Born 5th February 1980, Kefee died having been in a 15-day coma in the United States of America. Until her death, she lived with her husband in the United States; pursued courses in video production and directing.
