Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, the Minister of Health, has confirmed 2 new cases of Ebola Virus Disease. They are spouses of 2 health workers who tended Patrick Sawyer in hospital. Both cases are the first time Ebola is diagnosed in secondary contacts of Sawyer, who died after infecting mostly staff and a hospitalised patient he had direct contact with in the hospital. These new cases bring to 4 the total number of Ebola cases now on isolation treatment, while there it brings the total number of cases in Nigeria to 14.
