SERVING OYO SENATOR, FEMI LANLEHIN DUMPS APC FOR ACCORD PARTY!

The only surviving All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator in Oyo State, Senator Femi Lanlehin has formally defected to Accord Party alongside APC chieftain, Yemi Aderibigbe, former Senator Gbenga Babalola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), among others. Receiving them yesterday at Mapo Hall in Ibadan, Oyo capital city, was the National Chairman of Accord and former governor of the state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja; state chairman of the party, Bashir Bola Lawal, Secretary, Ogundiya Oguntoye and others, including incumbent Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Babatunde Olaniyan and former Speaker, Adeolu Adeleke.

Speaking, Ladoja said though Accord was already fully on ground in Oyo State, the coming of Senator Lanlehin would be a morale booster for the party, adding that “We did it before and we shall do it even better again.” Lanlehin, in his remarks, described Ladoja as “my leader and father”, has urged Oyo State people to vote Senator Rashidi Ladoja as governor in 2015 and other Accord candidates in other elections .
Those welcomed into the party were Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, who currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the Senate; a former Oyo North senator, Gbenga Babalola; one of the sons of the late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Arisekola-Alao, Semiu; one of the sons of former Alaafin of Oyo, Prince Kabiru Gbadegesin and Dr Fola Akinosun; Honourable Demola Ojo, who served as chairman on Oyo State Local Government Association of Nigeria (ALGON) in Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala’s government; Honourable Yemi Aderibigbe, who resigned from Governor Ajimobi’s government as Special Adviser on Transport; Mr Timothy Ogunkunle, who was sacked by Ajimobi as Atisbo Local Government caretaker chairman; Chief Gbademosi Lakunle; Alhaji Olaide Mohammedan; Honourable Olayinka OMikunle; Alhaja Haolat Olasunkanmi; Chief Akeem Isekolowo; among many others.
