Several years back when he was a staff of the Nigeria Television Authority, he impregnated a young lady who then came to the headquarters of the NTA to do her industrial attachment. He was then a single young man. The young lady who was said to be seventeen years old told everyone who cared to listen that he disvirgined her and that no other man touched her but he vehemently denied while the young lady kept the pregnancy. Today, the product of that denial is a mother of two as the young girl ended up raising the child alone and never remarried. Pastor Solomon of the Family Worship Centre is not new to controversies involving putting young girls in the family way.
Indeed, it has been widely circulated that one of the reasons he quietly opted out of the NTA and became a full time pastor was because of the fact that he has done enough in this regard. To those who knew his antecedents when the burble burst a few days back, it was not news. Curiously, the latest incident occurred at the headquarters of the church in Wuse Abuja where he is a senior pastor and under the watchful eyes of Mama, highly revered Pastor Sarah Omaku. According o the report, he had seduced the young lady who is believed to be a member of one of the church working groups and one thing led to the other, he got the young girl, believed to be in her late teens pregnant. Sources even said he pressurized the girl and she had to terminate the pregnancy even though her family was already aware of the development. It was based on the reported abortion and the complications that occurred that the family of the girl formally made a report to the church leadership.
A meeting was called a few days ago by the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Sarah Omaku where the church council as well as those who made the allegations against Pastor Solomon, were to present their case so that he could defend himself but the senior pastor seemed to have gotten wind of what was the agenda of the meeting. Subsequently, the enraged family members were said to have threatened to go to court with the church leaders present pleading that they should be given time to resolve the issue as it would dent the image of the church as well as that of the girl involved. Curiously, the man at the centre of the scandal, Pastor Solomon was sighted at another branch of the church where he had gone to preach a day before the meeting, giving out his phone numbers to two young girls in the branch, demanding to see them within the week. The girls had reported the issue to their resident pastor. Unknown to Pastor Solomon, one of the young girls is a sister-in-law to the resident Pastor’s wife. The said resident Pastor was said to have raised the issue at the Church Council meeting in order to show the extent to which the randy pastor had gone in seducing young girls.
