A close associate of former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB), has said the retired general is doing fine. This is against reports describing the state of health of the former president as “grave” after President Goodluck Jonathan visited IBB at a Germany hospital on Sunday. According to the statement made available, “IBB is on a routine medical check up on his famous Radiculopathy case, an injury he sustained during the Biafran war, for which he had a back operation in a German hospital years ago while he was still in office. From time to time, IBB goes to his doctors in Germany for routine medical review and that’s why he’s in the hospital in Germany right now.”
