FORMER ANAMBRA GOVERNOR, PETER OBI JOINS PDP

A former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi has officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Obi declared for the PDP on Tuesday after chieftains of the party had visited him in his Onitsha GRA home. Among PDP chieftains at his residence were the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekwerumadu; Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Honourable Emeka Ihedioha; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim; Akwa Ibom State governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, former PDP national chairman, Okwesilieze Nwodo and a former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara. Ministers present were Chief Emeka Nwogu, Works; Professor Chinedu Nebo, Power; Osita Chidoka, Aviation, among others.Speaking, Obi said: “I have, in the past, worked closely with all of you and you know my belief about our zone working together. I assure you that we will continue to work even closer as a team in the interest of our people.”
