EYOLA- THE BRAND
Established in London in 2008, Eyola Fashion House looks beyond the fleeting fashions of the day, forging a new silhouette and a new system for fashion. At the heart of the fashion house is the hallmark of the brand – its 19th century Victorian heritage – serving beyond a design influence to also become the fundamental ingredient behind Eyola’s brand philosophy. The most prevalent theme in Eyola’s works is 19th century Victorianism. An era that championed innovation, flamboyance, art, invention, philosophy, craftsmanship, the birth of haute couture; all of which the Eyola brand evokes. Akin to the evolution of fashion during the 19th century, Eyola takes a stand for a new era of fashion, liberating women from the constraints of the mass production of luxury goods and readjusting fashion’s bi-annual collections by replacing it with more frequent, smaller, eight-piece capsule collections called ‘Octettes’. The Octette, an homage to Victorian corsetry’s figure 8 shape, brings a much needed new perspective of fashion in the same vein as fashion pioneers Charles Worth, Paul Poiret, Gabrielle Chanel, Elsa Schiaparelli.
ABOUT THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR
The Creative Director Eyola (daughter of Senator and Mrs Musa Adede) trained at renowned fashion houses, including Alexander McQueen, before studying Fashion and Styling at prestigious Italian fashion school Istituto Europeo Di Design where she earned her Master’s degree. Channeling the wealth of skills and craft obtained throughout her educational and vocational journey, Eyola settled on using fashion as a vehicle to express both multifaceted philosophical theories on religion, art and culture and the concept of timelessness shaped by the revival of Victorian tradition. An appetite for creativity, craftsmanship, innovation, making an art form of sculpting fabric onto the female form, the continuous reinvention and rediscovery of the archetypal Victorian woman – The house of Eyola.

Why is this so? for me, is the most important period in fashion’s history. From the  craftsmanship and det if that went into each piece to the discoveries such as bright colourful dyes, the sewing machine and ew technologies in materials and fabrics. I draw inspiration from the  revolutionary couturiers of this spirational time who in turn were inspired by newly discovered cultures and new approaches and chniques in dressmaking. Each individual garment had the full  heart and soul of the dressmaker cours g through its veins, which is an attitude ingrained in Eyola’s DNA. “
THE STORY OF HER BRANDS
Eyola Fashion House consists of 3 fashion lines: Eyola, her sister label Femme De Rose and the new one. Eyola ‘s SMA set. Eyola is the more traditional “couture” inspired label, while Femme De Rose  incorporated ready-to-ear “British tailoring” with a modem flair.  London-based online fashion destination Femme De Rose – femmederose.com – is the brainchild of Eyola,  creator of eponymous sister label Eyola. Design and purchase a one-of-a-kind blazerjacket using the digitally  savvy interactive design service or shop Ready- To- Wear designs from the Infinite Collection. Following the  guidelines of Sa Vile Row tailoring, the craftsmanship of each blazer is synonymous with the Eyola brand’s heritage, quality and expertise. Femme De Rose’s bespoke service offers women the opportunity to design tailored blazer jackets choosing from a selection of design permutations, a library of fabrics and a spectrum of stylish linings to create a blazer jacket that is a one-of-a-kind product of distinction. Like Eyola Fashion House, Femme ‘De Rose took the journey into the Victorian period 1837 to 1901.
During this journey a discovery was made. Jean-Baptiste Guillot (a French nurseryman) carried out an experiment crossbreeding two different types of .roses during the late 1800s, which led to his discovery ofthe  Hybrid Tea. The breeding of roses became a phenomenon in Victorian Ellglandwith people experimenting  different rose varieties. Over 10,000 hybrid tea rose varieties exist today. Creative Director Eyola also  followed this crossbreeding concept to create something exceptional by combining 2 fundamental qualities of the Eyola brand: tailoring and exclusivity. Guillot’s crossbreeding outcome was’ La France’ the first Hybrid  Tea rose, whilst Eyota’s outcome is the creation of Femme De Rose.’

The colour black is associated with power, elegance and mystery and denotes strength and authority; it is considered to be a very formal, elegant, and prestigious color. The colour gold is associated with success and triumph, abundance and prosperity, luxury and quality, prestige and sophistication, value and elegance, aft1uence and material wealth.

In Queen Victoria’s time, perfume was still pretty much naturally fally based on flowers and herbs and resins. We have chosen natural scents inspired by Victorian choices for our Showroom. Loose dried aromatic lavender  buds are packaged in black pouches and presented with each Eyola purchase.
LAVENDER
Is a chemical-free method of preventing moth holes in clothing. Lavender symbolizes “luck and devotion” in the language of flowers.

TELEPHONE
The Victorian period saw many major developments that made travel, communications and trade easier for many people. The invention of the telephone is the culmination of work done by many individuals, including Alexander Graham Bell, invented during Queen Victoria’s reign. The phone displayed in the Showroom is a vintage Victorian style rotary dial telephone from the 1950s.

In Victorian times the world of plants and flowers had religious, mythological and symbolic meanings and still do today! Flowers had powerful meanings in the Victorian Era and were often given as a way to express  emotions. Feelings that could not be proclaimed publicly could be expressed through flowers e.g. bluebells  stood for “kindness,” and tulips represented “passion,” Flowers also form the inspiration behind our sister  label Femme De Rose.
