On 8th November 2014, the whole of Benin was shaken to its foundation following the marriage of Prince Utieyinontseola Emike and Ivie Okunbo. Ivie is the daughter of rich businessman, Captain Hosa Okunbor and the groom is the crown Prince from HRM Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II. From the quality of the Invite, many of the guests who attended the event knew they were in for a real treat. From all nooks and crannies of Nigeria, chartered flights took guests to the ancient city, venue of the classy shindig.
The planes were chartered by the bride’s father, Captain Okunbor. On arrival at the Benin City Airport, there was also a huge arrangement made to transport them to the venue of the event, all the details including the very little ones were taken care of by the organizers of the wedding. Of note is the magnanimity of Hosa, which his guests still talk about till today. It is on record that he gave about 500 of his invited guests a specially made Aso-Ebi for his daughter’s wedding. The colour is Aqua Green while the groom was in the full Itshekiri traditional regalia as he beamed all through the event.
