LUCKY IGBINEDION’s DAUGHTER, EHI WEDS

It is not uncommon for topshots to do their things without drawing out a large crowd, and so when the Igbinedions decided to give out one of their daughters, Ehi a few days ago without the usually large crowd that marks their celebrations, no one could complain. Ehi, daughter of former Edo Governor, Lucky Igbinedion had her traditional marriage at the Igbinedion’s Signature House a few days ago. For those who have never entered the imposing multi-billion naira palatial mansion, it was like killing two birds with one stone as they marveled at the opulence that the house represents while also joining the Igbinedions as they all gathered to celebrate with Lucky. His brothers Peter, Fred, Bright and Mike were all there and they played good hosts, ensuring that everything went well. Ehi was joined traditionally to Femi Oni, who like Ehi is also a medical doctor.

The groom who was led by his father, High Chief Sam Oni, a former Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria came with an impressive entourage and though the traditional wedding was not designed to pull out those who mattered in Abuja and beyond, the family still had in attendance quality guests as well as friends. Among those who graced the occasion were former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Alfa Belgore, Former Kogi state governor, Prince Abubakar Audu, Pacesetters Academy founder Chief Lucky Imasuagbon, High Chief Peter Ojemen, former Minister of Information Dr. Walter Ofonagoro and the newly appointed Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Mrs. Dayo Keshi.
