Not many people know that former Super Eagles Captain and international footballer, Kanu Nkwankwo has a palatial building consisting of 8 flats in Jabi, Abuja. According to reports the house was completed about 24 months ago. It is located strategically off Chida Hotels Road in Jabi. The magnificent building, an edifice you cannot but notice because it stands out in an area that houses some of the poor in the Territory. Adjacent the building is Gbana, inhabited by sex workers, casual labourers and others who have nothing to do. Gbana assumes another identity in the night as night crawlers come from various parts of FCT to take local drinks as well as other stuff, and directly opposite their drinking joints is Kanu’s block of flats. Not a few people believe that the existence of Gbana has contributed to a large extent, the inability of willing tenants to let the house any security conscious tenant would easily see the volatile nature of the environment in the night as men of different characters fight right in front of the block of flats.
