CHRIS OYAKHILOME’s TV STATION SHUT DOWN BY LAGOS GOVERNMENT
The Lagos Internal Revenue Service(LIRS) has shut down the Pastor Chris Oyakhilome-owned Infinity Television for owing the Lagos state government several millions. This is coming 24 hours after after the TV station workers protested over the non-payment of 10 months salaries and non-remittance of their Pay As You Earn(PAYE) tax to the appropriate authorities. LIRS stormed the premises of the company on Wednesday, 24 December 2014, shut it down and placed a notice on the gate after locking it with padlock. Infinity TV, located on 16, Moyibat Oyefusi Street, Omole Phase 1, is a Direct To Home, DTH cable TV owned by Oyakhilome, Christ Embassy President, and was incorporated in 2009.
