STAR ACTOR, DESMOND ELLIOT, WINS LAGOS APC ASSEMBLY TICKET

Popular Nollywood actor and director, Desmond Olusola Elliot swept the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary polls yesterday (December 2) when he clinched a landslide victory to secure the party’s ticket for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere constituency 1.

The thespian father-of-four won with a whooping 214 votes, his closest contender, Fahoud Kayode got a measly 44 votes.

Also punching his fist in victory is APC National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed’s son, Jubril who floored gospel singer, Kenny Saint Best to emerge the party’s flagbearer for Ikeja constituency 1 with 220 votes.

APC Lagos chairman, Chief Henry Ajomale’s son Oladipo has cause to smile too as he downed Hon. (Mrs.) Olatunji Edet (the incumbent) by 250 to 37 votes to pick the party’s ticket for Oshodi Isolo constituency 2.
