DSS CLEARS ALI MODU SHERIFF ON BOKO HARAM, GETS PDP BORNO CENTRAL SENATORIAL TICKET

Former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, will contest for the Borno Central Senatorial seat after he was cleared by the Department of State Security (DSS) over alleged involvement with the Boko Haram. Sheriff will contest under the platform of the PDP after he was handed the Borno Central Senatorial ticket through a consensus arrangement reached last Thursday. He will contest with Senator Ahmed Zannah Khalifa, who defected to the APC a few weeks ago.
