FORMER HOUSE OF REPS. SPEAKER, DIMEJI BANKOLE SET TO DUMP PDP

Omoba Yanju Lipede and Hon. Dimeji Bankole, two of the six prominent Egba Governorship aspirants in Ogun PDP have started negotiations with Aremo Olusegun Osoba and his SDP on the possibility of contesting the next Governorship election on the SDP platform. We gathered that Omoba Lipede and Bankole seem to have seen that the reality of the situation in Ogun PDP might not favour them.

A source divulged that Lipede and Bankole now have overwhelming evidence that Buruji Kashamu, the man who has the structure of Ogun PDP in his firm grip is hell bent on taking the Governorship ticket of the party to Yewa contrary to the expectation of many people in Ogun state that any party that is desirous of defeating Amosun in 2015 must field an Egba man against him in order to uproot him from Ogun central, his strongest base. We gathered that Buruji decided to take the Governorship ticket of PDP to Yewa to benefit a stooge of his who he believes is the only one who can give him absolute loyalty of all the aspirants jostling for Ogun PDP ticket.

We gathered that Buruji has also pencilled down his cousin from Ijebu Ode to deputise his stooge Governorship candidate to checkmate him incase the man too decides to play a funny game if he eventually finds himself in power. We gathered that it is the reality of this permutation in the Buruji camp that made Omoba Lipede and Dimeji Bankole to reach out to Osoba and SDP on the possibility of using the party’s platform for their 2015 ambition.

It was also gathered that SDP is planning to field an Egba man against Amosun and it is seriously hoping to cash in on the error that Buruji and PDP will make by fielding a Yewa man to become the number one opposition party in Ogun state that everybody will now identify with for the Amosun must go project which has now become the slogan of opposition’s unity in the Gateway state.
